小釗，調好琴後，我們就可以開始彈Ukulele了。第一，先學如何握琴。
XiaoZhao, when the ukulele is tuned properly. We can start playing the instrument. Firstly, let’s learn how to hold it.

Ukulele主要用右手夾在胸前，左手主要用作按絃，所以主要都是靠右手固定琴的位置。右手可以用食指或Pick撥絃發聲。
Secure your ukulele between your right arm and chest. Your left hand is not to hold the instrument as you need to stop the strings. You may use a pick or your index finger to strum the strings.

圖中所見，在第一絃的第三格有一個紅點，即是說要用手指按著這條絃的這一格。請注意，當你抱住Ukulele時，第一絃在下面，而圖上的第一絃是在上面的。
As shown on the figure above, there is a red dot on the 3rd fret of the 1st string. Use your 3rd finger to stop this string.

要奏 C 和絃，用無名指按在第一絃的第三格上，記住不是觸摸住，大力按住，當你撥絃時就會聽到清脆的絃聲。姆指放在柄後，方便著力。
To play the C major chord, stop the 1 string on the 3 fret with 3rd finger. Stop the string with force so that you can hear clear note when you strum the string. Your thumb on the back of the neck.

小釗，這是ukulele的各個不同部位，請認清楚第一絃至第四絃的位置。你調音或彈奏時都要好快認出一至四絃。
XiaoZhao, these are different parts of an Ukulele. Please make sure you know location of the first, second, third and forth string because you need to find the strings quickly when you are tuning the strings and playing the instrument.

小釗，在彈ukulele前你一定要調好音，否則那只是一堆噪音。調不好，不悅耳，也壞了你的對音準的敏感度。把絃收緊，就可得高一些的音，放鬆可得低一些的音。不過分辦音高也是要經過訓練的，開始學樂器自己調音時舅舅也是很迷茫的，真的攪不清絃的音太高還是太低。有時，把絃收緊到快要斷了也以為是音太低。日子久了聽多了，分辨音的能力就會越來越好。如果舅舅在你身邊，一定會音你調好音的，免得你為難而失去興趣。但是，調音也是一個好好的學習過程，你要努力啊！舅舅錄好了四絃的音，你嘗試跟著錄音唱一次，再唱一唱手上ukulele的音就可分辦自己的絃太高還是太低。頭一兩次攪不清楚可找對樂器有經驗的人幫手。第一絃 A 音(最高)，第二絃E音，第三絃C音(最低)，第四絃G音(第二高)。告訴他們，這四個音都是 Middle C上第一個八度以內的音。你跟著以下的錄音，順著第一，第二，第三，第四絃調即可。如果太久沒有調或者換上新絃，要來回調多一兩次音才會穩定。

XiaoZhao, before you start playing ukulele, you must tune your instrument properly. Otherwise, you’ll just have noise. It’s annoying and ruin your ears. TIGHTEN A STRING TO GET HIGHER PITCH. LOOSEN A STRING TO GET LOWER PITCH. Please compare with the track below to get the right pitch. At first, you would find it’s hard to tell whether your string is too high or too low. The first time I tried to tune instrument, I was also confused. I almost broke a string by making it very very tight even not sure if the string is too high. Try to sing with the note from the track and then the note from your ukulele. You can tell the different. It might be difficult the first time. Try ask for help from people experienced in music instruments. If you do not play your ukulele for a long time or you have new strings, you need to tune it several time to have a stable tuning.

1st string A highest string (just above middle C)
2nd string E
3rd string C lowest string
4th string G pitch between 1st and 2nd string
